We’re looking for a Micro Assembly Technician to join our Manufacturing team in Reading, PA — part of Reading Bakery Systems.
In this hands-on role, you’ll assemble, wire, and calibrate our SCORPION® Data Logging Measurement Systems, used globally in commercial ovens, dryers, and cooling tunnels. You’ll work daily with delicate wiring and small components under magnification — craftsmanship and patience are key!
What You’ll Do
- Assemble and wire precision sensors (Temperature, Air Velocity, Heat Flux, and Humidity).
- Perform detailed micro wiring and soldering using specialized tools and magnification.
- Calibrate assemblies to meet exact specifications.
- Inspect completed components using meters and gauges to ensure quality.
- Work safely, maintain an organized workspace, and collaborate with your team.
What You’ll Bring
- Excellent attention to detail and steady hands.
- Experience with fine-detail work — such as soldering, jewelry making, or model building — is a plus!
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings and assembly instructions.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn new tools and techniques for micro assembly.
