Thermal Barriers — Digital Humidity Sensor Dwell Time

A Thermal Barrier is used to protect the electronics contained in the Digital Humidity Sensor from the high temperatures found in commercial ovens. By sliding the data logger and humidity sensor completely inside the thermal barrier, thermal migration is delayed from damaging the sensitive electronic circuitry.

ThermalBarriers

Several thermal barrier heights are available to cover a wide range of process temperatures and dwell times. The Digital Humidity Sensor Dwell Time Graph is used to determine the size thermal barrier required for safe operation. The thermal barrier performances for the 6 standard sizes are displayed. The height is the thickness of the thermal barrier which translates to the headroom required to pass the SCORPION® 2 through the process.
